Kosé Sekkisei White CC Cream Review

Wednesday 17 August 2016

Hey watermelons!
(lol it's kinda hot these days my head keep thinking about sucking watermelon to cool down the body XD )

Finally, I get to try this awesome CC cream from Kosé Sekkisei that I always wanted to! If you missed anything about this brand here, a brief info on previous post regarding this fave beauty brand of mine!

Big shout out to Kosé for sending these babies to me, I'm so over the moon! Besides loving how oriental and classy the packagings are, I always love the scents they are formulated with. It's very Johnson baby powder-like to me! lol

Before I miss this out, the Kosé Sekkisei Emulsion that I received along wears a LE packaging with my fave sakura flowers on! Hearts everywhere!

I used to be a hardcore fan of BB creams (am still do) before the cushion trend hit all over beauty markets, making me stick to cushion-typed makeup most of the time because they're very convenient. Yet CC creams (I mean the "not so cushion" ones lel) never lost their places to my preference, I love them as well. They're very lightweight and gives me the most natural look when I'm not feeling like going out looking like a fab bitch (LOL)

While BB means "Blemish Balm" (I'm sure almost all girls know this) CC means "Color Correct". The name itself is self-explanatory, it corrects the skin tone by evening them out and it helps with the redness. CC cream is not for a full coveraged makeup, just enough for a very quick light and natural look. I prefer to use foundation better if I'm going for that "bitch I'm fab" look (LOL again)

Kosé Sekkisei brand was invented to bring women's dream of having a snow white's fair skin into reality so you can relate it to their White CC cream, it's here to help you achieving that glowing fair and healthy looking skin, in the most natural way without looking heavy.

Comes in a fairly moderate sized tube with a pump so rest assured hygiene freaks haha, it make it easy to control the amount of usage. Another thing that I love about this CC cream is it has SPF50+/PA++++, pls find yourself in an amazement now lol
It contains UV filter(s) like Titanium Dioxide, Octinoxate, Tinosorb M, Uvinul A Plus & Tinosorbs. How protective do you think a CC cream can be against the damaging UV rays?! //rubs eyes.

I don't really have that many flaws I wanna hide on my skin, just combating with some redness that I hate to see on so this CC cream is perfect for it. My skin is rather thin that almost all veins under my epidermis layer are slightly visible to sight, and it's not something freaky to see my face getting flushed most of the time.

All I need on the day I'm not wearing any makeup is something light with a "no-makeup finish" with an ability to cover up discoloration my skin have a.k.a flush & redness on the go.

Talking about skin pampering while giving that soft-focus effect that blurs out imperfections, this brightening Japanese CC cream has all 5 goodness (oriental herbs) combined together namely Job's Tears Seed Ferment Filtrate, Angelica Acutiloba Root Extract, Melothria Heterophylla Root Extract, Rose (Rosa Multiflora) Extract & Rehmannia Root Extract. According to my concern with my dry skin, I don't fancy matte finish much and not only this brightens up the complexion, it also helps with the moisture. My skin looks dewy whenever I wear this on.

Comes with 2 shades, 01 & 02, mine is the latter (Ochre) and the shade is the standard shade for Japanese/Asian women.

I used a very thin layer of Kosé Sekkisei White CC Cream here equal to one pump only and look at the result! Noticed the difference rite? My bare skin is slightly reddish.

For even more perfect and bright complexion, use Kosé Sekkisei in the following order Lotion (refreshing toner) > Emulsion > White CC Cream. You can find out more about their star product, Kosé Sekkisei Lotion and Kosé Sekkisei Emulsion on my previous post about them.

Products mentioned in this post:

  • Kosé Sekkisei White CC Cream 26mL/30g - RM120 (±)
  • Kosé Sekkisei Emulsion 70mL - RM70 (±)

Thank you so much again Kosé Malaysia for the gifts! //flying kisses. For more info, kindly visit KOSÉ MALAYSIA or seek them straight at their counters (available in Parkson, Metrojaya and almost all over Malaysia)

Talk to you guys again on my next post!

Japanese High School Girl Bags [ 女子のハイスクールバッグ ]

Friday 19 February 2016

Pyon pyon minna!

Going to school aren't everyone's favorite thingy rite? I know haha me too when I was there before. Not going to criticize our Malaysian school life or what but lo, accept it that going to and being a high school student in Japan is rather cool, at least that's what I think. Be it their gakkou seifuku, kawaii bento box (of course the one that joshi always bring!), school bag and etc which pretty much makes their school life more fun and enthusiastic!

1. Japanese Leather High School Bag

(well of course the leather is not real lol)

2. Japanese Canvas High School Bag

This bag really resembles the one that Honoka from LL bring to school, that's why I bought it apart the straps are baby pink in color!

Regret of not buying these during my secondary school life otherwise I would had been looking very cool bringing this kinda bags to school everyday (I was very nerdy in my school life as far as I can remember lol!!) Now that I am already 21 years old I cannot rock these bags to school anymore, I've graduated from secondary school since 4 years ago but wait. Who says I cannot use them for street fashion look, or while going out? Tehepero!

Unbeknownst to me if in Japan people use these sort of bags only purposely to high school, but to me from the look of these bags I think they would just be acceptable to be used for any other appropriate occasions like going to college, university or even on daily basis as well (well if your heart is not too old for that, think I'm not lol)

Thing I hyped the most about these Japanese high school bags is they have a lot of disparate compartments and pockets inside which you would never come across in most of the school bags you can find in our country! There are a pockets for a tumbler, smartphone, ball pens and etc! Isn't this too cool for school? lol sounds like a familiar Korean cosmetic brand out of the blue! They might look a bit bulky to you, but I just can't stop loving the bulky bags because you can stuff a lot of things inside them (very helpful peculiarly to joshi because we always bring a lot of stuff, even to school and what not lol!) - and that's why Japanese girls also love to carry a bulky bag.

Front compartment :

Main compartment :

I've never seen a bag with a tumbler pocket attached inside so far. What's more it's sewn with a spongy and waterproof aluminium-like material that prevents the water from seeping into anywhere inside the bag. This means that if you bring a cold tumbler/drinking bottle it is totally safe and does not get your notes or any paper you bring wet, hurrah!

Let's take a look at the second high school bag I bought!

I take this as a free gift from the seller hehe, ありがとうございました!
Btw, do you know who is the character in that button? it's that guy from Kuroko no Basuke, Atsushi Murasakibara in chibi ver.

The tumbler pocket for this one is relatively different than the former one, in the way it's sewn and attached to the side of main compartment and I think I love this one better haha!

Both compartments of this bag are also identical to the leather one but this one doesn't have the pocket for a smartphone.

Also included with 2 extra keychain holders (for a keychain junkie who love to hang a tonnes of charms and keychains lel)

Their kakkoi-ness and kawaiism aren't excluded this guy, mite! even their zipper pulls are very cute to me!
These bags are from Sweet Candy brand, and is what the name carved on the zipper pull explains.

I've been eyeing on these high school bags for so long before really decided to buy them. I bought them from Michiyo Online Shoppu on Facebook, and obviously this shop sell a lot of any other interesting anime & Japanese merchandises too! Do take a look around on their page if you're also into these kinda things like me!

Bought them around a month ago, the leather one was RM75 and the canvas one was RM60 plus RM26 shipping fee. Actually I find that they're quite pricey (just for a school bag) but what to do rite to find these bags here is almost impossible so I had to buy from them (and it's a pre-order from Japan which took 2 weeks of anticipation) That explain much their prices and shipping fee as well.

Been thinking to use them as part of my cosplan too later, these will be great to be put on the characters with gakkou seifuku hehe...jaa ne! *ぐで~ ぐで~* - suddenly gudetama lol!

Talk to you guys again on my next post!

Essential Shoes Every Women Should Own In Her Closet

Saturday 30 January 2016

Good day girls! Basically, most normal girls around that I know only own a few types of shoes that they comfortable to walk in the most (including me LOL) unless you're into an epic shoe game like Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City then that's outta question lol. All "principles" aside, no matter which one do you stick to let's just stalk on these shoes that every women should have in her closet. Either you are buying 30 pairs of your favorites or never really care to own that many, make sure you have these types of women shoes that will go well with every possible occasion!

FLIP FLOPS

Photo by Julia Toivoloa on justthedesign.com

There was a said that happy footwear equals happy feet. Having the look of ready-to-go, flip flops indeed make one's way smooth on a casual day. They are a type of open-toed footwear quite identical to sandal, but the sole can be more flatter and their forever signature are those Y-shaped commonly rubber strap that passes between the first and second toes and around both sides of the foot. Wearing flip flops is a compliment to your whole OOTD if you are going to the beach, especially and I think that's what flip flops are more suitable for. Nevertheless if you think you probably not gonna give so much on your look while going out for a light strolling, this type of footwear should also come into your first pick! Pair them up with a sling bag, long white dress and a floppy hat and look amazing even on your lazy day!

Recommendation :

Rubi Rubi Thongs (on Zalora) - RM19.00

SANDALS

Photo from chikoshoes.com

A sister to flip flops as they are similarly open-toed and all, the only contrast is the sole held to the wearer's foot by strap passing over instep and sometimes bracing around the ankle. Some sandals can also have a heel depends on the design. Another ready-to-go type of footwear which you can wear all day long without hurting your toes and heels, andd...a shoes of savior for those "cynophobias" whenever they accidentally run into dogs lol! There's no rules of what you can't wear with sandals on your casual day, be it with jeans, shorts or even with a short loose dresses they can still look inspiring!

Recommendation:

Zalora Embellished Flat Sandals (on Zalora) - RM79.00

FLATS

Photo from babble.com

They are called as mom’s best friend because you can actually wear them with almost anything from jeans to skirts, shorts and even dresses wherever you go looking put together and feminine. Flats are also considered as one of the best shoes every working woman could have in their wardrobe as they are a great option to be worn comfortably to work especially when your feet need a rest from wearing high heels. Wearing a pair of trendy flats can still make you look professional and put together. They are definitely a must-have in every woman’s closet at home and in fact, girls in Japan always bring a pair of flats in their bag whenever they go out thus at the middle of the day when their feet are burning from the walking they will change their heels to flats. Now I see why they always wear a bulky handbag, but of course the trendy one!

Recommendation:

Zalora Snake Embossed D'Orsay Flats (on Zalora) - RM79.00

PUMPS

Photo by Diana Z Wang on lookbook.nu

A woman would never turn her back on a pair of classic black pumps. They are considered as the most versatile shoes in the world a woman could have. A pair of stylish black pumps can go with almost everything, plus they are also in for a casual wear and what not! Your femininity will be doubted if you never own a pair of heels lol! Why only pointed out a black pumps all the time? Of course not! you can always opt for a nude pumps as well if you like and likewise, they will go just nice with everything!

Recommendation:

Sidewalk Elastic Straped Platform Heels (on Zalora) - RM89.00

BOOTS

Photo from dropdeadgorgeousdaily.com

From the year of 2012 when the K-wave started to hit worldwide, I saw a lot more Malaysian made a stylish OOTD with booties on! (what an impact huh?)  to cut it short, boots have always being part of Hollywood's staple fashion from the high knee cut to the ankle boots since 10 years back but as the fashion observant I never really notice that people are affected that much by Hollywood's fashion trends on 10 years ago. Blimeyyy to even look for a pair of booties on net for an online shopping was a tough nut to crack I kid you not! Oppositely today they are "bersepah" on the local website offering a wide range of choices and getting a pair of them is a piece of cake in no time! Fashion boots comes in so many types more than you can imagine, the one with platform sole (the one that I own the most!), ankle boots, knee boots and wayy more!

So should I say thanks to the K-wave for bringing in a cool footwear to paint more colors into our fashion industry? lol! Another reason of why most girls are obsessed with K-dramas, besides having the handsome oppas the onnies' flawless skin and stylish outfits are something worth to be focused on too for our fashion reference later hehe! Anyway nowadays the fashion trends has turned into a complex from where we girls just "bantai" everything as long as the mix and match looks perfect without really bother from where those particular fashion trends have landed from as more and more people are urbanized and they can do an inspiring mix and match for their own fashion taste and preference! Go all trendy and look up to date by pairing up a pair of boots with jeans, loose top or with outerwears, a sunnies is always an extra compliment!

Recommendation:

Theraphy Willow Lace Up Boots (on Zalora) - RM195.00

WEDGES

 Photo from sydnestyle.com

The only shoe type that makes my tummy goes growling just because it reminds me of my favorite snack, cheesy wedges wtf lol! Wedgies are those type of footwear with the heel and sole connected together as they serves as the base and they are common to have the sole more thicker at the back than at the front, making them a high-heeled shoes. The middle part of the sole that connects the heel and front sole (called shank for the arch support) built more taper and if one lack of balance wearing a very high wedgies can be quite dangerous as it can often twist your ankle (been there a lot of times, sobs that's why wedgies are just not for a clumsy girl like me most of the time, the one with average height is ok though) Skirts or dresses, both can rock the wedgies just awesome!

Recommendation:

Te Chi-Chi  Floral Printed Wedges (on Zalora) - RM99.90

SLIP ON SNEAKERS

Photo from visual-therapy.com

Nothing can beat the outgoing feelings while wearing the slip ons. Love sneakers but hate to tie up the lace? Slip ons is hereeee lol! the name itself is self-explanatory and on top of all they are very comfortable to wear all day long! I call them the "amp-up typed shoes" for walking or travelling, around the city or wherever you go of course! They covers your whole foot just like sneakers does, entirely safe for a soft hiking (as well as fashion) and it's less hassle wearing them because you just need to slip them on to your feet without requiring a proper sit to tie anything up! Available in many designs and patterns and your only job is to choose the one that clicks you! I've seen a lot of Japanese wore slip ons with sweat tees and baggy pants and they look trendiest ever! I need a pair of slip ons too now OMG stop me! *pls no* LOL

Recommendation:

Te Chi-Chi Plaid Sneakers (on Zalora) - RM119.90

CASUAL SNEAKERS

Photo from stylecab.com

Casual sneakers that are sporty have become so trendy for the last few years and they are such a cool option for a casual look. You will be amazed that you can actually wear them all day long feeling comfortable without pinching your feet. A fun patterned or colorful pair would be great to be paired with almost anything like jeans, leggings, shorts and even casual dresses you already have in your closet, go mix and match girlsss hehe!

Recommendation:

Something Borrowed Lace Up High Ankle Sneakers (on Zalora) - RM119.00
